BCS reach the Concern Debate All Ireland Final

Bailieborough Community School has succeeded in reaching the Concern All Ireland Debates Cup Final.

 

The team, made up of Luke Delaney, Shane Hogan, Claire Finnegan and David Farrelly and mentored by Ms. Quinn, will compete against Presentation De La Salle College Bagenalstown, Co Carlow. The final takes place on Thursday, April 29th and will premiere on Concern’s Youtube channel on May 14th. 

 

BCS is deeply proud of the team for reaching this stage of the competition and appreciates the team’s tremendous work and Ms Quinn’s superb guidance. This achievement is the culmination of four years of hard work and determination. We wish the team every success in the final.

 

Here is Shane Hogan, Bailieborough Community School’s captain for the Concern Cup Final 2021, proposing the motion “Savage cuts to overseas aid, proposed by the British government are unjustifiable and counterproductive”.
