Work on the school’s new extension and upgrade of existing facilities continued over the summer months. The additional accommodation has proven to be a valuable resource for our school and we have much safer access to BCS for students, staff and parents.
BCS’s choir which is open to all students across all year groups will participate in the Celtic Tenors Concert on the 12th November in Killinkere Leisure Centre. Rehearsals are taking place every Thursday and Friday after school in the D area.
A very successful Sports Afternoon was held on Friday 18th September. Despite the two showers of rain, there was huge participation rates in all the events. Shane Farrelly represented Bailieborough Community School at the National Ploughing Championships. Shane could be found at the Health and Safety Authority stand where he showcased his award winning Farm Safety game. Shane won the finals of the National Farm Safety Authority Multimedia Farm Safety Competition in April at Dublin Castle.
Bailieborough Community School’s Parent Association organised and ran the very successful Tractor, Vintage Car and Motorcycle Run on Sunday 25th of September in Bailieborough. The money was raised in aid of the Student Canteen Upgrade Fund.
