Green School initiative takes roots
Students and staff of Bailieborough Community School recently welcomed Conor Craven and Cathal Boylan of Cavan County Council as they embark on the process of working towards obtaining a Green Flag. The Committee have begun work on their two year Action Plan to reduce waste and promote recycling in the effort to make the school a greener environment. The Green-Schools programme is an environmental education programme, which is administered by the national environmental charity, An Taisce, and run across the country in schools assisted by the local authorities.
